Tips for apply eyeshadow

Equip yourself today~ by ivy

As a modem office lady, I think applying eyeshadow would be a daily practice for all of us. More than 80% of the OL today think that the eye make up take a very important part of forming their image.

After years of seeing makeup artists in action and learning numerous eyeshadow tips and tricks from magazine, I wish to share some of the tips here with you:

#1: Blending is they key point
Normally I will use two or three different colors:
The base, usually a very light taupe, a highlighter for the crease and a main color for the lid, but how to get them to look as if they merge into each other?
Well, i think most of us will start light then go darker. Brush the base color, apply the lid color and & follow with apply the highlighter. Bear in mind that, don't be too heavy-handed or you'll have to start over.

#2: Choose the color that made your eyes more "pop" or look more "3D" feel
Matching the color of your eye or cloth with a shadow actually brings the color out (i.e. you were wearing a blue color contact lenses). At the same time, contrasting colors make eyes look more attractive.
You may try to practice yourself with trying mix & match different color to see the effect. For the base part, normally I would say the a shining base or brown color would be very suitable for office environment. Try to avoid too bright color like light green or shining pink, it will make you look like going to pub anytime & doesn't convince your customer your professionalism.

#3: Try to apply some shining base/natural highlighter at your browbone area
I would like to say this will help eventually made your eye more "3D" feel. It will give an attractive & fresh look.

#4: Set shadow with a good/trusted brand base primers
I will say if you use to work in office for long hours, get a better brand base primers is a must, that they help set makeup that stays for hours. I use to remove my eyeshadow at night while I'm still OT in my office, but after i found this way to make it stay longer, I think it save my make up, even in the rush hour. Personally, I would say I'm a shu uemura fans.(after compare with other brand that i used to have, it's really more long lasting.)

#5: Make eyes brighter with white/silver
A dot of white/silver shadow or pencil on the inside of the eye near the tear duct will make eyes look brighter & more attractive. Previously i tried on Kanebo silver, because the handy & easily control to create this effect. According my personal experience, I would like to say, prehaps i really like kanebo design but it just simply doesn't suite my timing. because after a few hours of apply, simply see the make up blur.

#6: Never use your fingers to replace brush
Unless you realy can't find your brush or else, please never try to use your finger to do it for you.
Ok, just see the result & you will know.

My sharing end here, if you just like me like Shu Uemura, let's visit their website today!
